I'm Sorry

I apologize for not updating in months. School has started again and this year is crucial for me. I just don't have the time right now to create sincere interpretations, I would rather not make any posts at all than to make sloppy ones. And for that, I apologize.

When my schedule clears up I will start posting again, I promise.

The Flower

Keywords:

Positivity, love, joy, creativity, happiness

Tarot Card Coordinate: Ace of Cups

Advice: This is a sign of good things to come, reaping the rewards from hard work, a positive outcome to a situation, or overall satisfaction. Sit back, sip some lemonade, and be happy knowing everything will be okay.

Warnings: Keep in mind that these results probably won't happen on their own. You need to work hard to achieve the goal that you have in mind. So long as you make good decisions, work diligently, and keep the end in sight everything will be okay.

Example:

I have a crush on a friend and I think that they may feel the same way, they've been dropping hints and everything. How do you think they feel?

It depends on your situation as a whole. But if you've noticed playful hints and clues, perhaps they do have feelings for you. The Flower is there to reinforce what you already believe. Now the only thing left to do is to find out officially. Even if they end up turning you down, it could be a sign for something even better.

The Float

Keywords:

Fortune, satisfaction, hope, good energy, joy, a happy ending (not THAT kind of happy ending, *snarf*)

Tarot Card Coordinate: Three of Cups

Advice:
The Float is a signifier of a positive resolution or the beginning of something good. Through all of your hard work it's finally time to celebrate (and dance so free, one more time!).

Warnings:
The Float doesn't happen on it's own. In order to obtain these results you must be able to stay focused and work hard towards your goal. It may not come easy, but with dedication it will come. This card can also be a signifier of hope when you need it.

Example:

I just met someone and we seem perfect for each other. We started seeing each other although I live away from home for school. Do you think the relationship will work out although we are 70 miles apart?

Initially The Float suggest yes, that the relationship will work out. However it requires dedication from both parties. If both of you want the best out of the relationship and are willing to work for it then the relationship will work out despite the distance factor.

Temporary Hiatus

I'm going to be away for the next few days. I have a lot of schoolwork that I need to catch up on before I leave for a camping trip this weekend. I'll be back again next week.

The Firey

Keywords:

Downfall, loss, sudden change of events, surprise

Tarot Card Coordinate: The Tower

Advice:
The Firey foresees an unfortunate turn of events, ie the ending of a friendship, a loss, etc. But it doesn't have to be all negative. Perhaps these changes are a catalyst for something new. The Firey's advice for a situation like this is to hold your head up and don't let the negativities burn you out (pun intended). It will only consume you if you allow it to do so.

Warnings:
It's common knowledge that fire can spread. Fast. If you allow the negativities to consume you, it will spread. It will start affecting you in different areas of your life and it may spread to those who care about you. The best way to prevent a fire like this from spreading is to put it out early. If The Firey is a card in a spread, the other cards can be interpreted on how to put the fire out.

Example:

I recently made a new friend. Everything started out well until their attitude changed from being nice and friendly to "my life is so much harder than your's." I've tried talking to them about it, but nothing seems to have gotten across. What should I do?

First off, you should ask yourself what qualifies them as a friend? The Firey suggests that if you continue on with this type of relationship, they will keep bringing you down. If you've tried talking to them about it yet they continue to exhibit this type of behavior, perhaps it's best just to move on. Some people cannot be changed. Ultimately it is your choice, but if you choose to stay friends make sure you have your guard up and prepare for unexpected surprises.

Counterfeit And Unofficial Decks

The easiest place to find Clow Cards are on Ebay because they are out of production and hard to find. But you should keep in mind that you may run across counterfeit or unofficial decks. If you want the Clow Cards just for casual reading, then an unoffical deck may be suitable (they are usually much more affordable then the official decks). However if you are a collector or a CCS fan, then be on the lookout.

To my knowledge, there are 2 officially released sets, the American version by Bandai and the Japanese version by Kodansha, with the American being easier to find. Both come with a Clow book to store the cards. The Japanese version look like the clow cards pictured on this blog (light orange border, purple background). The American version have a slightly different color scheme (orange/yellow blended border, dark gold background). The Japanese version is also more detailed than the American version when it comes to the back of the cards and the Clow Book.

There is also an Japanese electronic Sakura Card set, I don't know who the maker is however.

EDIT: There are 5 officially released decks:
1. American Clow Card Set by Bandai

2. Japanese Clow Card Set by Bandai

3. Deluxe Clow Card Set by Kodansha

4. Electronic Sakura Card Set by Bandai

5. Sakura Card Pouch Set by Bandai (this is the one based on the 2nd movie and includes The Hope card.)
Thanks, Vanessah!

Unofficial decks generally have off-color or a mix-matched color scheme and usually do not come with a Clow Book, they are packaged in a cardboard box instead. These unofficial decks are commonly found on ebay with a very low buy-it-now price (usually under $10.00) along side (or instead of) the starting price.

So what does this all mean? It means that there are decks that were not produced as official Cardcaptor Sakura merchandise. It doesn't mean that they are unusable or poor quality, they are just not official, some may say that they are fakes. It's like the big bags of generic "fruit loops" versus the Fruit Loops brand cereal by Kellogg's.

You should decide based on your own feelings which cards to buy. It is up to you to choose. If you are comfortable with an unofficial deck, then that's fine too.

NOTE: This information is based of the best of my knowledge, if you have something further to clarify please don't hesitate to let me know so that I can make the proper revisions.

The Fight

Keywords:

Courage, strength, fortitude, standing up for what you believe in.

Tarot Card Coordinate: Seven of Wands

Advice:
When faced with adversity, The Fight wants you to stand firm to what you believe in. When others are trying to push you down, have courage to keep moving on despite the negativity. Stand firm and hold your ground.

Warnings:
Although it is important to stand up for your beliefs, you must also be respectful of the beliefs of others. Having courage does not mean becoming pushy or cocky. Trying to stir the pot will only end up biting you in the ass in the end. If you expect people to respect you, you must learn to respect them too, even if your viewpoints differ.

Example:

I just found a great job and I've been working very hard to succeed in it. However my family disapproves of my career choice. Although I want to respect my family's opinions, how can I reason with them with regard to my new job?

The Fight is advising you not to give up what you love, but also not to completely push your family away. Instead why not sit them down and explain that this is what makes you happy and as a family you want their blessing. Ask them why they are so disapproving? What would they gain from you quitting? You don't necessarily have to completely change their mind, but try to let them understand that it's your choice.
